The Nairobi County is expected to experience cloudy mornings with light rains giving way to sunny intervals in the afternoon and night showers over few places in the next 24 hours.
On Sunday, sunny intervals are likely to dominate but from Monday 27th November to Thursday November 30, morning rains are expected over few places and afternoon and night showers over several places.
Giving the weekly weather update for Nairobi County, County Director Meteorological Service, Mary Kilavi on Friday said the county last week experienced a substantial reduction in rainfall during the better part of the week but there was a pick up on Wednesday over the western parts when Dagoretti and Ngong recorded 26.2mm and 14.5mm respectively.
The reduction, she noted was due to a temporally shift of the convergence zone to the south due to weakening of pressures over the South African region.
Night time temperatures increased slightly over the eastern parts of the county and day time temperatures dropped on average by 100C over the western parts, she said.
Kilavi added that the highest maximum temperature recorded was 25.50C on November 22 at JKIA.
Motorists have been asked to exercise utmost care due to poor visibility and slippery roads and should not drive or walk through a flooded section of the road.
