Nairobi County is expected to experience slightly cool and cloudy morning with light rains over few places tomorrow Thursday.
Nairobi County Meteorological Director, Ms Mary Kilavi said on Friday and Saturday it is likely to be cool and cloudy early in the morning but the cloudiness might clear to give way to sunny intervals in the afternoon.
Giving the forecast for the next one week, starting tomorrow, the Nairobi County Meteorological Director, Kilavi added that next Sunday and Monday, sunny intervals are expected the whole day but there is a slight chance of some showers over few places on Monday afternoon.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, cool and cloudy conditions are expected to dominate the whole day and some places might experience light rains in the morning, she said, adding that the County for the last one week has experienced unusually warm and dry conditions during the last seven days.
This, she said, was due to weaker than normal pressures in the southern hemisphere; day time temperatures increased gradually with time up to 9th July when JKIA recorded 280C then started to decline thereafter.
The Director said night time temperatures have been quite low at less than 10decgrees Centigrade on some days during the second half of the review period due to clear night skies.
The lowest minimum temperature was 9.4 degrees C recorded at JKIA on of July 9. No rainfall was recorded during the period, Kilavi said.
