Wanga and Awiti criticize the government over devolution

Homa Bay County Woman Rep Gladys Wanga and Governor Cyprian Awiti have accused the Jubilee government of frustrating devolved

system of governance.

Wanga said the Jubilee government was releasing money in bits and halfheartedly thus jeopardizing devolution.

The two hailed NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga for spearheading efforts to entrench devolution and resist what they

termed as Jubilee scheme to kill devolution.

Speaking Friday in Karachuoyo constituency during a campaign trail, Wanga appealed to the locals to vote for Raila and ODM candidates during

the coming General Elections.

With a Raila win, we will be assured that 45 percent of the national revenue would be devolved and will make big change in the lives of

the residents, she said.

At the same time, Awiti urged those who felt aggrieved by his style of leadership over the past four and half years to forgive him and

re-elect him for the 2nd term since he wants to leave a good legacy for the people of Homa Bay County.

Awiti promised to transform the County should he retain the coveted seat.
