Waiguru had no other option, says MP Kega

Devolution CS Anne Waiguru resignation to pave way for investigations was right and the only option, Kieni MP Kanini Kega has said.

“I shall never condone corruption. The message of resigning has reached home. Let us keep away from the old politics of sycophancy and call a spade a spade,” he said.

Waiguru resigned on Saturday citing health reasons, saying the pressure has affected her health and family.

Speaking on Saturday in Narumoru town in his constituency, Kega said Waiguru is innocent until proven guilty but she had to step aside since she had been adversely mentioned in the NYS scandal.

Meanwhile, Mukurwe-ini MP Kabando wa Kabando criticised Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria for condemning Nyeri MPs over their stand.
