The University of Eldoret will be reopened today after it was shut down three weeks ago due to student riots.
Deputy vice chancellor for Academic and Students Affairs Ruth Otunga said all students will report between today and Monday.
She said lectures will begin on Friday next week.
The university was closed after students went on the rampage, saying the fees had been increased.
Vice chancellor Prof Teresia Akenga, however, said only three items in the fees structure changed.
“Accommodation, training and attachment fees was slightly raised after the university council’s recommendations. All other payments remain the same for regular students,” she said.
The university says it will not guarantee accommodation in the halls of residence except for first years, to be considered on a first come first served basis.
