Police in Iten have arrested a Ugandan national suspected to be selling illicit second generation alcohol in Iten.
Confirming the incident, Keiyo North AP Commander, Joseph Biwott said security personnel have been pursuing the suspect, Ben Tumwet for several weeks but he has been evading them by moving from one estate to another.
He said the suspect has been selling Simba Waragi from his house to unsuspecting youths in the various estates he has been living in.
Biwott said the police recovered four 100ml sachets of the second generation brew at Sach estate where police finally arrested him following a tip off from members of the public.
The AP commander thanked residents for working with the police in the fight against illegal brews, saying unscrupulous people have resulted to selling the brews from their homes.
