The AFC Leopards Chairman, Dan Mule has called on the club fans to turn up in large numbers as the side faces Fosa Juniors of Madagascar in the first leg of CAF Confederation Cup at Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday.
The team arrived in Kakamega on Wednesday for a training camp in preparation for the match.
Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has pledged to foot the bills for their four-day stay in Kakamega town.
Mule said the governor’s gesture is a big boost for the club that is currently struggling financially after the betting company SportPesa withdrew its sponsorship in January.
The club enjoys a huge following in the region and the stadium is expected to overflow with fans during the game.
