Teachers Push for Pay Hike

BARINGO Teachers want the state to pay them their 50 to 60 per cent salary increase by August 1.

Led by Knut Baringo executive secretary Charles Kamuren, they threatened to strike in September.

Addressing the Kepsha meeting in Kabarnet town on Thursday, he said the money spent on preparing to host US President Barack Obama “could pay teachers comfortably for seven years”.
