Dajaloo and Quiet Journey were the star attraction during the Italia Jazz Kenya finale at the end of their three day tour of Kenya on Saturday evening.
Dajaloo comprises Pietro Tonolo (tenor sax), Giancarlo Bienchetti (electric & acoustic guitar), Dudu Kouate (percussions) while The Quiet Journey band has Paolo Damiani (cello) and Antonio Jasevoli (classic and electric guitars) as members.
The two groups had hosted separate concerts on Thursday and Friday before their joint concert which was the highlight of the tour at the Tribe Hotel on Saturday.
Hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute the two bands put up a memorable performance as they mesmerized the audience with their mastery of their string instruments.
In attendance were Korean embassy head of mission Kijun You and Kenya Airways captain Chris Kariuki.
