Subaru Enthusiasts Join Hands for Charity

A group of Subaru enthusiasts and drivers have come together with a mission for charity.

Called the Subaru Boxer Heads, the group will be holding a charity event, Kwetu Ni Kwao, this Saturday. The theatre performance will be held at Strathmore University in Nairobi, with a sole aim of raising money to educate former street children at the Kwetu Home of Peace.

The centre, a non-profit making organisation, run by the Assumption Sisters of Eldoret, rescues, rehabilitates and reintegrates street children and the destitute. It has premises in Madaraka and Ruai in Nairobi with an average population of 110 children.

“The main objective of the Kwetu Ni Kwao Charity event is to support the orphans/homeless children of Kwetu Home of Peace by raising funds to enable the education programme succeed. We will also be seeking to provide mentorship programmes to the children and support them with contributions like clothing and foodstuff. We will also educate them on proper road use,” says the group’s marketing and events coordinator Cyrus Oduor.
