Kenyan hip hop artiste Ali Juma aka Jay A has landed himself a role in an international film to be shot in the country. When we contacted his manager Debby Zawadi, she neither confirmed nor denied the rumour saying, “I am really not sure what to expect from this, but what I can say is that his fans will really be surprised when they see him on the screen, I still believe we are being pranked though. A lot is yet to be seen from him and all we have to do is wait and see,” she said.
The Dumbala hit rapper, who became an ambassador of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation in Kenya last June, has been missing from the music scenes, since his last release with Jamaican dancehall queen Tiana. However, he is back with a new release titled Smash.
Jay A has also been nominated for Best Dressed Male Artiste of the Year in the inaugural Jumia Kenya Glamour Awards to be held on August 8 at the Boma Hotel in Nairobi. “In his ambassadorial capacity for cerebral palsy, he will be carrying out a series of fundraising events to help the children with the condition get wheelchairs to ease their lives. He has also agreed to be the face behind the Save Our Elephants campaign by Rose Achola in collaboration with KWS with a bid to stop poaching,” said Zawadi.
