On Wednesday June 6 and Thursday June 7, the rainfall intensity reduced and day time temperatures dropped as chilly conditions characteristic of the June, July, August cold season set in, she said.
Kilavi noted that Maximum day time temperatures decreased by more than two degrees centigrade in comparison to the previous week.
Night time temperatures decreased steadily within the week from an average of 15.5degrees Centigrade on Monday to 10.7 degrees Centigrade on Sunday, mainly due to a decrease in cloud cover as the week progressed, she explained.
According to the weatherman, the outlook for the month of June will see most areas remain dry throughout the country except for some few areas in western and coastal areas.
