Youth in Homa Bay County have applauded the meeting held, recently, between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader, Raila Odinga, as this will help the leadership to uphold unity in the country.
ODM youth leader, Kevin Ouma Odhiambo, also said the country was facing a lot of economic challenges, which he said, the two leaders will now address.
Speaking Wednesday in Homa bay town, Odhiambo noted that the country is divided along tribal lines, due to hotly contested 2017 Presidential elections, and therefore, this was an opportunity to bring reconciliation and healing, in the country.
At the same time, Odhiambo appealed to NASA leader to work closely with Homa bay County governor Cyprian Awiti, to ensure that they promote development projects in the region.
They called on their fellow youths to support the endeavors, saying they should shun divisive politics, which are retrogressive and are counterproductive to economic development in the county.
The NASA leader, on Friday, last week, made an impromptu visit to Harambee house, where he met with President Uhuru Kenyatta, and they
pledged to work together in uniting Kenyans.
