A pride of lions yesterday invaded a homestead in Kajiado county and killed 55 sheep.
The lions the fled into the Nairobi National Park.
Mzee Sarupa Romo told the Star more than 10 lions invaded his home in Emakoko sublocation, Kitengela, and killed the sheep while they were asleep.
Residents said yesterday’s attack is the 14th incident in one month.
They said farmers in the area have lost more than 400 goats and sheep to predators from the Nairobi National Park.
When the Star arrived at Romo’s home in the morning, no official from the Kenya Wildlife Service had arrived to record a statement from the livestock owner.
