Police in Trans Nzoia have warned parents against colluding with criminals who defile their daughters.
Trans Nzoia police commander Samson Ole Kina said such parents will be arrested and charged in court accordingly.
County commander at the same time decried increasing cases of defilement in the region and asked parents and guardians to be wary of the predators.
He said in the past three months, 39 cases have been reported in Trans Nzoia adding that he was aware that many more went unreported.
He asked parents and guardians to report incidents of defilement and incest to relevant authorities reminding them that those who commit crime ought to face the law at all costs.
We have received instances where parents are given some money as an inducement to drop the cases forgetting that offenders must be punished as a way of putting to an end to such crimes, he said.
According to Ole Kina, parents and a section of administrative officers at the grassroots hold kangaroo courts disadvantaging the victims.
The police officer asked chiefs and their assistants to be vigilant and bring to book parents who engage in such malpractices.
