Police are looking for parents of a teenage girl whose body was found in a thicket in Waitaluk location in Trans Nzoia.
The Trans Nzoia West OCPD, Jackson Mwenga also said police are investigating the death of the girl who police suspect is about 14 years.
Mwenga told the press in his office on Wednesday that police were alerted of the incident by members of the public
The body of the deceased had a cloth that had been tightly tied around her neck and blood oozing from her mouth and nostrils, said Mwenga.
According to Mwenga, police also found a pair of shoes and a bag which they suspect belonged to the juvenile.
The body was taken to Kitale County Referral Hospital mortuary, awaiting identification and post mortem.
Mwenga appealed to members of the public to volunteer information to the police, that will assist identify the young girl.
He also asked parents and guardians whose child is missing to report to any police station.
