Police pursue two suspects who killed a man in Kitale

Police in Kitale town are pursuing two suspects who shot and killed a man before stealing sh. 600,000 from him.

The suspects are believed to have trailed the deceased who was working as an accountant with Mwangaza photo studio in Kitale town.

Trans Nzoia County Police Commander Samson Ole Kine told the press that noon incident left many residents scared as it happened at the central business district in Kitale town along the main street of Moi Avenue.

According to the county police boss, one suspect was carrying an AK 47 rifle as another rode a motorbike which they used to escape.

He said that the deceased, Michael Simiyu was going to deposit the money in the bank before he was killed adding that the suspects vanished into a forest next to Kibomet estate.

The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Kitale county referral hospital and his body taken to the Kitale County Hospital mortuary.
