Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has reshuffled in his cabinet and retained his deputy governor Kizito Wangalwa who withdrew his participation as his running mate.
Announcing the changes to the press on Monday, Mr. Ojaamong’ retained Wangalwa who doubles up as the CEC in charge of Economic Development, Trade, Cooperatives and Industrialization.
He also retained the Chief Officer of Economic Development, Trade, Cooperatives and Industrialization James Akedi.
Other changes affect the Department of Lands, Housing and Urban Development with the CEC for Youth, Sports, Tourism, Culture and Social Services Martin Kafwa taking over the docket in an acting capacity.
He replaces Bernadette Muyomi who resigned recently citing personal reasons.
Chief Officer for Public Works, Transport, Roads and Energy Moses Weunda has also taken over from the ailing Timon Mboga at the Water Department but in an acting capacity.
The CEC for Public Works Bernard Yaite will also oversee the operations of the Department of Water but in an acting capacity. He replaces Gregory Odeke who resigned to vie for a parliamentary seat in Teso North Constituency on an independent ticket. Other Departments remained unchanged.
