Nyenze Told to Respect Kitui Reps

Kitui Wiper MCAs have dismissed media reports the party is courting suspended Lands CS Charity Ngilu for the governor’s seat in 2017.

Led by majority leader Jacob Maundu, the MCAs issued a statement yesterday accusing National Assembly minority leader Francis Nyenze of undermining Kitui leadership by making “divisive, unfortunate and ignorant claims”.

“The remarks were not only unwarranted, unfortunate, divisive, malicious, ignorant and vexious but an insult to the leadership of Kitui county,” they said.

The statement was signed by deputy majority leader James Munuve and MCAs Kilonzo Kauthi, Peter Kilonzo and Mutomo’s Jackson Mwanduka.
