NHC gets a new managing director

The acting cabinet secretary in the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr Fred Matiang’i has appointed Mr Andrew Saisi as the new managing director of the National Housing Corporation for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2015.

Mr Saisi has been the general manager of the Expanded Polysterene Systems (EPS) factory, a subsidiary of the corporation.

Mr Saisi, a civil engineer, is a seasoned manager with more than 20 years’ experience in manufacturing, security management, financial management, publishing and engineering. He holds a BSc in civil engineering from the University of Nairobi and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University Business School in the UK.

He is an accountant and lead auditor who has worked for reputable international companies like BMW in the UK and the Tracker Group of Companies in Kenya, and brings a wealth of experience gained from the corporate world at the local and international levels.

“I have every confidence that Mr Saisi will deliver to the satisfaction of the board, the ministry and the public at large,” said Matiang’i. “I look forward to working with him to ensure that Kenyans get affordable and decent housing as captured in the mandate of the National Housing Corporation.”
