Bukhungu stadium is ready to host the Confederation for the Central and East African Football Association (CECAFA) tourney slated for 26th November to 9thDecember 2017.
The facility has been undergoing refurbishment and upgrading to international standards over the last three years.
A spot check by KNA on Monday established that the pitch, terraces and shades were ready, with workers only putting final touches on the VIP dais.
Kakamega will be co-hosting the regional tournament alongside Nakuru and Kisumu counties.
The national soccer officials led by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa and the CECAFA Secretary General Nicholas Musonye toured the facility two weeks ago and gave it a clean bill of health.
The upgrading project is one of the flagship projects of Governor Wycliffe Oparanya’s administration.
