THE Uasin Gishu government will build houses in Eldoret town to address the rising demand for housing.
The project will be implemented in phases for the next five years.
Housing executive Robert Ng’isirei said single houses in Kidiwa and Mwanzo estates will be demolished to create room for flats.
Speaking in his office in Eldoret town on Friday, Ng’isirei said the project is a partnership of the county government, NSSF and NHC. He said once complete the houses will be used by county staff and the remainder rented out.
