Naivasha Morgue Filled to Capacity

The Naivasha Subcounty Hospital wants to dispose of 22 unclaimed bodies because the mortuary is filled far beyond capacity.

The morgue contains 39 bodies, but should only hold 12.

Efforts to remove the bodies have stalled as the public cemetery is filled.

The Public Health department banned further burials in the cemetery between two estates.

Hospital superintendent Joseph Mburu yesterday said most bodies were delivered by police. Most have been there for more than two months.
