Information Secretary (IS), Judy Munyinyi has urged participants in the Ajira online business opportunity training to be goodwill ambassadors and spread the initiative far and wide to benefit majority of Kenyans.
Speaking on Monday to the second batch of over 100 participants at the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) in Nakuru, Munyinyi reiterated government commitment to ensuring its success.
The IS said that the ministry is closely working with the Rockefeller Foundation and the Kenya private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) to create awareness of the program with a view to bringing many on board.
The government also plans to establish constituency innovation hubs so that beneficiaries can have access to Wi-Fi services in conducting their online business.
The training is ongoing for a period of 5 weeks where up to 700 youth will benefit.
