Mboko Case Postponed to October 8

MOMBASA women’s representative Mishi Mboko incitement case did not begin yesterday after she sought an adjournment. Mboko is accused of making statements that amounted to incitement of breach of peace and disobedience at Mombasa Stadium on June 1.

Through lawyer Jared Magolo, she asked for time to go through the amended charges. Prosecution counsel Nicholas Kitonga did not object the application. Chief Magistrate Julius Nange’ea directed the prosecution to supply the defence with a copy of the amended charges. The case will be heard on October 8.
