The Interior and Coordination Ministry Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Fred Matiang’i has assured the public of ample security ahead of and during the Kenya National Examinations.
Addressing a gathering at Kereri Girls secondary school in Kisii County where he commissioned a new dormitory Monday, Dr. Matiangi revealed that a team had been formed to ensure smooth running of the examination.
The CS however, put on notice those who had encroached into school land, saying they would be dealt with through the law.
He ordered Kisii County Commissioner, Geofrey Kigochi to delve into the matter and arrest the school land grabbers.
On killings that took place at Kenyenya in Kisii County which left a police officer and two other civilians dead, he assured that action would be taken once a report by the Inspector General is tabled.
The Kisii County Governor, James Ongwae who flanked the Cabinet Secretary said the county government would give him full support on education in the region.
