The man from Boochi location in Gucha Sub County who hacked his wife to death and fled has been arrested.
The Ogembo OCPD, Richard Muguai confirmed this to KNA on Tuesday morning, saying Okemwa Omingo was arrested through the help of members of the public who spotted him yesterday at Mogonga area aboard a public service vehicle headed to Kisii town.
Members of the public who are also relatives to Okemwa and knew that he was on the run alerted the public service driver to drive to the nearest police station which is at Ogembo and the man was immediately handcuffed by police, the OCPD explained.
The police boss thanked members of the public for acting maturely to bring the suspect to the police station where he would be justly dealt.
Okemwa would face murder charges at Kisii High Court today.
