A man has sued the Public Service Commission over discrimination in appointments to the anti-corruption agency. David Mwaure accuses the state of allowing a discriminative law to remain in force.
He says section 5(3) of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Act discriminates as it disqualifies some people from holding office at the agency.
Mwaure said the section does not allow any person who is a member of a governing body of a political party to be appointed as EACC chairperson. He said all Kenyans have equal opportunity to apply as chairperson or members of the commission.
