A man was Thursday lynched by members of the public at Archers Post in Samburu East after stabbing an elderly man to death.
The suspect who disagreed with the elderly man over unknown matter was apprehended by irate members of the public who stoned and burnt him to death.
Confirming the incident, Samburu County Police Commander Alfred Ageng’o said the incident was reported at Archers Post Police station.
We have received a report on the incidence, but as we speak we have no evidence as to why the second victim killed the man, he said adding that investigations have been launched to establish the cause of the killing.
At the same time the county police boss warned Samburu residents against lynching suspects. Bodies of the two have been taken to the Isiolo County Referral Hospital mortuary.
