A man who sexually assaulted his eighteen year old daughter was on Friday arraigned in a Nakuru court and charged with the offence.
Philip Kipngetich Kosgei was accused of raping his daughter at their Sosiot home in Njoro Sub County.
He however, denied committing the offense when he appeared before Chief Magistrate, Geoffrey Odour who released him on a bond of Sh.100, 000.
The offense was allegedly committed on March 12 this year.
The Court heard that the accused had come home drunk on the fateful day and asked his daughter to wake up and prepare to go to school.
When she woke up, her allegedly instructed her to help him lift some logs onto his bicycle. As she was doing so, she fell down and the father pounced on her and tried to sexually harass her. When she refused, he raped her.
The teenager escaped and started screaming upon which neighbours came to her rescue, apprehended the father and took him to Njoro Police station where he was booked and later presented in court.
Hearing of the case was set for April 4 when the prosecution is expected to present witnesses.
