Lupita brother makes debut in Hollywood

Lupita Nyong’o’s brother, Peter Nyong’o, is set to make his Hollywood big screen debut next year.

The 21-year-old Peter has been added to the cast of an upcoming movie Nocturnal Animals, which is an adaptation of a 1993 novel with the same name by Austin Wright.

It is not clear what role he will play in the movie but it is expected to be a much smaller part than his sister has had in all of her movie roles.

The movie is directed by Tom Ford, who is also a fashion designer credited with the remarkable turning around of Gucci, the Italian fashion and leather goods brand.

The movie will star Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal, Kim Basinger, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Robert Aramayo co-star in the film.

According to the movie note on IMDB, Nocturnal Animals revolves around a man whose family vacation turns violent and deadly. It also continues to follow the story of Susan, who finds herself recalling her first marriage and confronting some dark truths about herself.

Peter shot into the limelight during the 2014 Oscar awards when the host Ellen Degeneres took a group selfie with several Hollywood stars and posted it on Twitter. Peter joined in on the photo, partially blocking Angelina Jolie’s face.

The photo went on to become the most retweeted entertainment picture of 2014 with 3.3 million retweets. It was retweeted at the rate of 255,000 times a minute.

Lupita won best actress in a supporting role award at the event.
