Lari Locals to Crack Down On Illegal Bars

LARI MP Mburu Kahangara has said residents will be involved in reviewing then umber of bars to curb illicit liqour.

Touring CDF projects in Kijabe village yesterday, he said the licensing board did not scrutinise wines and spirits bars properly.

“My office and the board will go from one town centre to another, where residents will tell us how many bars they would want,” he said.

The MP told residents some licensed bars share toilets and don’t have clean water to drink or wash hands.
