KUSU Signs CBA With Chuka University

The Kenya University Staff Union (KUSU) members who are working with Chuka University now have a reason to smile after the Union signed a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the institution’s management.

Addressing the press on Wednesday, after signing the agreement, the KUSU Secretary General, Dr. Charles Mokhwaya said that the document will regulate the relationship between its members and the University management, including how to manage their staff for maximum productivity.

This document is not only for the KUSU staff but also for the University management to ensure it undertakes measures that will bring maximum productivity to the Institution, said Dr. Mokhwaya.

The KUSU Secretary disclosed that among the Terms and Services that the Union members will benefit are medical, housing, mileage allowances among many others.

He however, challenged KUSU members to appreciate the Terms of the agreement by being consistent in their work to increase productivity by doubling their efforts in service delivery.

Speaking during the event, the Chuka University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Erastus Njoka revealed that the Institution has noted the efforts made by KUSU members in service delivery to the Institution and the management will reciprocate by adhering to the Terms of the CBA.
