Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) teams will once again steal the limelight this weekend as they line-up for four Premier League matches in Nairobi.
The duel of the week pits reigning champions KPA against Cooperative Bank of Kenya- the team they beat last for the first title in 23 years. They also face Kenyatta University ‘Pirates’. KPA last weekend lost 47-59 to United States International University.
KPA women on the other hand, have a date with Mennonites and Sprite Storms in matches, which are likely to turn out in their favour. Kisumu Lady Bucks still smarting from that sad loss to Western Delight welcome home Kenyatta University ‘Oryx’. Bucks will bank on the on form Joyce Misita for points. The students travel uphill to Kakamega, where they will find Delight waiting.
Umoja play University of Nairobi ‘Terrorists’ in a match that could go either way while Strathmore University tackle Zetech University in another closely knit show, whose winner is hard to predict.
On Sunday, six-time champions Ulinzi ‘Warriors’ who are banking on shooting star Ancette Wafula will point their guns against USIU “Tigers” whose confidence are sky high coming off a strong 56-40 win over champions USIU in Mombasa. Equity Bank will unleash their deadly trio of Hilda Indasi, Samba Mjomba and Eleanor Mujsindi against Mennonites. Lanky forward Bridgit Nanzala will carry Ulinzi ‘Blades’ in a tight duel against former queens Eagle Wings.
Strathmore University meet win-less Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) University in an easy fixture.
