Two men and a woman accused of abducting and defiling two KCSE candidates in one of the secondary schools in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County were arraigned before an Eldoret court on Monday.
The court was informed that the accused persons, Paul Githinji Kirimi,Peter Maina and Ann Njeri Wairimu secretly abducted and wrongfully detained the said students in a house situated within Huruma estate in Eldoret town between October 9 and 10, 2017.
The two accused men were also charged with another count of defiling the girls aged 17 years on the same dates in the same estate.
The accused persons were arrested last week in a hideout in Limuru town together with the complainants and brought back to Eldoret where the alleged felony took place.
Parents of the two girls had reported about their missing children a week earlier at Eldoret police station before the suspected kidnappers were trailed and arrested.
They pleaded not guilty when they appeared before Eldoret principal magistrate Mr. Harrison Barasa.
Barasa directed the prosecution to make some amendments on the charge sheet in order to separate the charges as independent charges with different legal implication.
The court, he said, will give further direction once the amendments are done.
