Kiambu residents to benefit from free medical camp

Residents of Kiambu County have been urged to make use of a free medical camp to be held on June16, 2018 in Ngewa Primary School.

Those with physical disabilities shall be evaluated and issued with a Disability Card as well as receive moving aids, including wheel chairs.

There shall be various types of cancer screening offered which include breast cancer, cervical cancer and prostate cancer.

HIV counselling and testing, blood sugar screening, arthritis and blood pressure screening services shall also be offered for free.

Kiambu Women Representative Gathoni Wa Muchomba, who is the organizer of the event in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for Githunguri Kago wa Lydia, in a memo to the media Monday said there shall be free eye testing and free glasses for those found in need.

Orthopedic services for those with bone and joint problems shall also be on the agenda, and also people with physically disabled relatives have been encouraged to take them and benefit from the free medical camp.
