Kenya is set to host the 5th edition of East Africa Oil and Gas Summit 2018 (EAOGS) in June this year in Nairobi.
The summit aims at examining key topics that affect the rapidly advancing oil and gas industry in East Africa
In a press statement sent on Wednesday to newsrooms, Principal Secretary of the State Department of Petroleum, Andrew Kamau urged companies in petroleum industry to actively participate in the two-day event that commences on 14th to 15th June.
Kamau said the annual event which attracts major international investors for oil and gas in East Africa, saw at least 380 regional and international companies attend last year’s event.
He said as Kenya and the neighboring countries continue to enjoy exploration successes, all stakeholders should help to develop the industry.
During the event, local and international companies involved in oil and gas will receive awards for outstanding achievements is various categories.
The event is organized by the East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture alongside UK based conference and Global Event Partners.
