KENYA NAMES TWO PLAYERS TO COMPETE IN COMMONWERALTH GAMES BADMINTON EVENTS

NAIROBI– Kenya has named two players to compete in the Commonwealth Gmes to be held in Gold Coast, Australia, from April 4 to 15.

The two players, who are undergoing training at the Ruaraka Sports Club under coach Alfred Muthomi are veteran player Victor Odera and Mercy Joseph, who clinched their slots at the national trials. They will contest the men’s single, ladies singles and mixed doubles events.

Mercy, who won a bronze medal in the All-Africa games held in the Congo three years ago, will be playing in her third Commonwealth Games.

Coach Muthomi has expressed the team’s determination to do Kenya proud.
