Thirteen Lang’ata Boys High School students have been charged with burning a dormitory and two classrooms worth Sh5.4 million.
The students denied the charge on Tuesday and were freed on S00,000 cash bail.
The dormitory was valued at Sh5 million and the two classrooms were worth Sh 400,000.
The students have been in remand since July 26. Police had applied they be detained pending investigations into the arson attack.
Meanwhile, seven students from Sunshine Secondary School in Nairobi were charged with attempting to burn a building at the institution on July 24.
A ruling on whether they will be released on bond will be delivered on Tuesday afternoon.
