A man who appeared before a Busia Court charged with publishing hate speech in his social media Facebook of Bunge la Busia has been released on a cash bail of shs. 300,000.
The accused, Paul Amemba alias Maghufuli appeared before Chief Magistrate (CM), George Wakahiu charged with perpetrating hate speech on June 20 in an unknown place within the country.
Amemba however, denied the allegations and Wakahiu granted him a cash bail of shs. 300,000 with an alternative surety of shs. 1 million.
The case will be mentioned on July 21st.
The suspect is alleged to have posted messages aimed at inciting some two communities living in Busia County against others.
