Former Kenya Ports Authority chairman Danson Mungatana stint at the parastatal did not mark the end of his political career.
“I will be going to political work. This country still needs experienced people,” he said yesterday in a television show.
His announcement raised speculation on whether he would run in the 2017 general election.
The former Garsen MP lost the Tana River governor race to Hussein Dado in the March 4, 2013 general election.
He ran on the TNA ticket while Dado was in Cord.
Mungatana may be eyeing the governor position again as he said he does not wish to contest for a parliamentary position.
His phone went unanswered when the Star sought to clarify which position he would contest.
Mungatana said his tenure at KPA gave him a chance to create a rapport with the corporate world.
