Nairobians should brace themselves for heavy downpour, warns the weatherman.
Heavy rains are to be experienced starting on Wednesday through to Tuesday and rainfall is likely to be heavier, that is, more than 30mm, on Friday and on Sunday.
The County Director Meteorological Services, Mary Kilavi said today that the county is expected to experience rains over few places in the morning and moderate to heavy showers over several places in the afternoon from March 14th to 20th, 2018.
On Monday March 19 and Tuesday March 20, showers are likely to occur over few places in the afternoon, said Kilavi.
On review of last week starting March 5 to 11 Kilavi explained that the rainfall that set in at the beginning of the month continued up to Tuesday last week but subsided on Wednesday and Thursday and peaked up again this morning with less intensity on Friday.
It was heaviest yesterday when all the stations within the county recorded more than 17mm with JKIA receiving the highest amount of 50.3mm,said Kilavi.
