Groups Bid to Save Suffering Students

Politicians and civil society groups from Northeastern have urged the government to come up with a crash programme for students.

In a press statement at a Nairobi hotel yesterday, the groups said it’s necessary to find a way to compensate for the lost time.

They said the programme should run for the next three months, including the August holiday, to prepare learners for the KCPE and KCSE exams.

Womankind Kenya CEO Adullahi Mohammed urged the state to facilitate the recruitment of local teachers.
