Galana Secondary school students in Magarini Sub County have been sent home following an outbreak of diarrhoea after five students were admitted at a local hospital.
It was reported that form four students started complaining of the disease after one student died of illness following diarrhoea and vomiting.

Confirming the incident the principal Mr.Thomas Safari said the students were traumatized after the death of their colleague last week hence the administration was forced to send all students home to avoid tension at the school.
Safari however, refused to give more details saying, he needed to inform his bosses before addressing the press.
He admitted that students have already been discharged adding that, the parents will be informed when their children should report back.
