Four Public Schools Cry Foul Over Land Grabbing 14

FOUR schools in Mombasa have called for government’s intervention to assist them get back a common playground.

Kikowani, Kaloleni, Mbheni and Bondeni primary schools say the playground has been taken over by the Mombasa Technical Training Institute.

The institute says the schools should pay Sh10,000 per month to use it.

Last year, Shimanzi MCA Nasser Rashid chaired a committee to investigate the claims.

The team concluded that there is a need to review the boundary between MTTI and the land.
