Focus Shifts to Coast As KPA Sides Face Usiu

KENYA Ports Authority men and women’s teams host the United States International University sides at the Makande Wefare hall in Mombasa this afternoon.

With the Nairobi league games all called off, focus will shift to the coastal town from where two mouth watering clashes pitting KPA teams against the USIU will be on card.

KPA new catch Arou Ramadhan, who played for the ‘Tigers’ last year, will be key for the ports men as they search for points against his former side against his old side. The other key player will be national team forward Valentine Nyakinda. KPA had mixed results last weekend losing in Nakuru before posting a win in Nairobi.

The dock women lost their title to the students last year and with both teams unbeaten so far in the league, this should be the game of the week. The encounter will see Yvonne Akinyi and Natalie Akinyi sweat to stop Sarah Chan and Cynthia Irankunda. The other matches will see Western Delight face off against Kisumu Lady Bucks at the Kakamega Police Canteen while at the Mount Kenya University (MKU) courts in Thika, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology tackle Baraka Xtreme.
