Five injured in bandit attack

Five people were seriously injured on Monday morning when the lorry they were in was attacked by unknown bandits.

It is believed that the lorry ferrying over 100 goats and seven occupants from Banane to Maua market was attacked by unknown bandits.

The lorry was sprayed with 41 bullets at Kina along Kiutine – Maua road in Igembe Central Sub County but the driver refused to stop.

Eight goats instantly died and five occupants sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Maua Methodist hospital where they were admitted.

Confirming the incident, the area Police Boss, David Terer told KNA that police have gone to the scene to track down the bandits.
