Ngichima pleaded not guilty before Lodwar Principal Magistrate Mwangi Karimi.

The accused was ordered to pay a cash bond of Sh 400,000 with one surety of a similar amount.

The case will be mentioned on January 27 and hearing date was set for February 2, 2016.

In the same court, two middle- aged men were ordered to pay Sh 500 fine or face 14 days imprisonment each for being drunk and disorderly in Lodwar town.

The accused Emmanuel Ekiru and Joshua Lokolil pleaded guilty for the offences.

The two contravened section 33(2) of the Alcoholic Drinks Control Act.

In mitigation the two appealed to the magistrate to be lenient with them saying it was their first time to be arraigned in court for those offences.
