ROSELINE Mbaya is this year’s winner of the Face of Kenya UK 2015. The event was held recently at the Royal National Hotel in London.
The annual beauty pageantry attracted Kenyan contestants living in the UK, among them Oneal Gakuu, Anabel Chege, Hellen Kahari, Claire Odour, Antony Wambua, Eric Ochieng, Shiru Stuart, Patience Mandu and Lillian Muringe.
At the event, sponsored by Kings Pride, Kenya Diaspora Homes Expo, Heritage Hotels, Map Express Cargo and Kenya2U, Muringe was first runner-up as Gakuu got the second runner-up position.
“The face of Kenya provides an avenue for the Diaspora to network and promote the diverse Kenyan culture, empower the youth, enhance community cohesion, initiate charitable activities and ensure progressive branding of the Kenya in the UK,” said Kenya’s High Commissioner in the UK Lazarus Amayo.
