Kenya ex-Internationals have been invited for a one-day high profile friendly against their Botswana counterparts.
According to Kenya ex-Internationals organising secretary George Sunguti, the match is set for September 30 in Maun, Gaborone.
The tournament that has been organised by Botswana Football Association in conjunction with Football Kenya Federation, will be used to mark the country’s Independence Day. According to BFA chief executive officer, Kitso Kemoeng, his association will cater for Accommodation and foot the local transport. The letter from BFA dated July 6 and addressed to FKF, said in part: “The association will support in the logistics of the International friendly game but our visitors will cater for their own air tickets.”
Sunguti said they are looking for well wishers and parastatals to bail them out with air tickets for a 20-man squad that will include 17 players and three officials. Players from both teams are required to be above 37 years. As a result, Sunguti has invited all former players to assemble today at City Stadium at 1.30pm for a friendly against Nairobi County.
